Allergies - Environmental - Hay Fever
Years ago I had quite a severe reaction to a certain breed of rabbit. When I went near a Rex rabbit, my eyes watered, my neck prickled, and if had any scratches on me when I came into contact with them I would come up in huge welts. We owned a rabbit, a different breed, and I had no problem except if it scratched me, then welts would appear, but not as severely as with the Rex rabbit. I thought at the time how bizarre this was. I had read an article somewhere on the use of bee pollen for allergies to do with environment.
I thought it would be a great test, as I was at the time starting to learn about herbs. I took bee pollen capsules as it recommended for three weeks. A little time later - I had forgotten all about it really, as you get busy with life. One day my mother was visiting, and not being used to rabbits, quickly picked up our rabbit, as it was attempting a great 'escape' - and holding it out away from her body, quickly almost threw it at me, feet first! - resulting in its claws making a nice pattern down my almost bare tummy - (its ok, i was just wearing a light crocheted top - which was very holy when it came to rabbit claws!) After I had sufficiently recovered from the surprise attack, I braced myself for the usual expected mess, rash, welts and itching.
Guess what folks? No mark, (except the scratches themselves) no rash, no welts and no itching. Oh boy was I impressed and of course put this down to the bee pollen.
Ok, now years (quite a few) down the track, and just a we bit older now, for the last few years in the summer I have been suffering with a type of hay fever when outdoors in certain places - runny eyes, quite red and sore, runny nose which would simply not stop, etc etc.
The bee pollen memory had been nagging, but being so busy just had not got round to trying it again.
Well I did, and amazingly it has worked again. I still have a slight nose 'drip' but no eye reaction, and I would say a 100% improvement.
Once again, this is not a hard sell situation. Simply a sharing of my personal experience.
Update Nov 2018
It is a couple of years since I wrote the above. Since I have had fantastic results from taking Bee Pollen with Hay Fever - spring grasses. I had only taken it for a day or two before I had relief.
